The exhibition ‘Time for Synthesis. Classics of Silesian Art’ is an attempt to present the most renowned artists from Upper Silesia. Their works were a key influence on the birth of the Silesian underground art movement that flourished in the 1960s and 70s. The showcase includes works by Krystian Burda, Andrzej S. Kowalski, Zenon Moskwa, Ludwik Poniewiera, Tomasz Struk, Andrzej Szewczyk and Andrzej Urbanowicz; artists who developed their own language of artistic expression, and who had a significant influence on the shape and spirit of art in Poland.
